Village of Ashmore Monthly MEETING REMINDER

The Ashmore Village Board meets fourth Tuesday of each month. The meetings start at 6pm and are held at the Ashmore Municipal Office. As a reminder, the public is always welcome to attend!
Free Dumpster for Ashmore Residents
Begins: 5/17/2025 - 7:00am
Ends: 5/17/2025 - 10:00am
A free rolloff dumpster will be available for residents of Ashmore Village and Ashmore Township
on Saturday, May 17 at 7:00 - 10:00 am
across from the Fire Station (SW corner of South Illinois and West Linden Streets).
Dumpster use will be supervised. Participants may be required to show proof of residency. Access will be first come, first served.
Standard dumping rules apply:
ALLOWED: garbage, furniture, mattresses & box spings, basement & shed cleanouts, toys, bicyles (no tires), wood, drywall, construction debris, and paint cans that are dried out (no lead-based).
NOT ALLOWED: oil, wet paint, tires, batteries, appliances, TV's, electronics, yard waste, aerosol cans, chemicals, pesticides, prescription medication or pharmaceuticals, medical or biohazard waste, flourescent light bulbs, railroad ties, and propane tanks.

Annual Community Cleanup Day

A free Community Cleanup Day will be held for residents of Ashmore Village and Ashmore Township
on Saturday, September 20 at 7:00 - 10:00 am
at Ashmore Village Park (1000 S. Indiana St).
Event will include:
- Electronics Recycling
- Tire Recycling (all sizes, no weight, size, or quantity limit; must be removed from rims and empty of water)
- Recycling trailers for aluminum, paper, plastic, & glass
- Pharmaceutical safe-dropoff (all pharma drops are anonymous, and pills do not need to be labeled or sorted)
- Rolloff dumpsters (standard rules apply)
