Elected Officials

The Village of Ashmore's municipal government is a Trustee-Village form of government.

An elected Village President (mayor) and Board of Trustees hold open public meetings at least monthly to discuss and establish local laws, policies, and short- and long-term community planning. The President six Trustees each hold 4-year elected terms. The terms in parentheses represent how long each official has held office. The ending date represents when their current term ends.

Regular Board meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Municipal Office, located at 10 W Ashmore St. Special meetings and committee meetings are scheduled as needed. Residents are welcome to attend all public meetings and are encouraged to take an active role in community affairs.
