The Village of Ashmore is proud of it's sole public school building, the Ashmore Elementary School, which sits on the same land which has been home to an Ashmore school since the 1890's.
Ashmore Elementary currently teaches grades K-4 and boasts as one of the highest-performing schools in the district, according to www.illinoisreportcard.com. Ashmore Elementary is graded as "COMMENDABLE," which is given to schools with no underperforming student groups and a graduation rate greater than 67%.
Ashmore Elementary is one of 6 facilities in the Charleston Community Unit School District (click here for more information), whose mission is to provide the highest quality education by creating life-long learners through comprehensive academic, athletic, cultural, and extra-curricular opportunities for the children of our community.
